Who We Are

Previously known as Folang Trust

Folang Africa NPC is a registered Non-Profit Company with over two decades of structured community development. We operate in Mogalakwena, Limpopo, with ambitions to scale nationally and across the African continent.

We are not a typical NGO. We are a continental development institution — credible to government departments, corporate funders, international organisations, and ESG-aligned investors.

Our Journey

2001

Folang Trust Established

Founded by Dr. Johannes Senoamadi to address community health needs in Limpopo.

2012

World Diabetes Day Launch

First annual WDD commemoration — beginning a legacy of community health events.

2017

NPC Formation

Transitioned to Folang Africa NPC, formalising institutional structure for scale.

2020

WDD Expansion

Targeted 10,000+ participants at Mahwelereng Stadium for the flagship health event.

IDF World Diabetes Day Campaign Participant

Folang Africa NPC is an official participant in the International Diabetes Federation's World Diabetes Day global campaign — hosting annual commemorations since 2012.

Leadership

Dr. Johannes (PJ) Senoamadi

Founder & Director

A multi-award-winning medical practitioner with 16+ years specialising in diabetes and non-communicable diseases. Dr. Senoamadi founded Folang Medical Centre — one of Limpopo's pioneering Diabetes Centres — and established Folang Africa NPC in 2017. He has hosted the World Diabetes Day commemoration since 2012, screening over 10,000 people. His accolades include the CDE Clinical Excellence Award (2012), CDE Award for Community Education (2016), Black Management Forum Manager of the Year (2013), and Man of the Year in Healthcare (2017).
